Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at office@cattlehealth.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question or if you need further information.

  • A genuine and ongoing veterinarian-herd-client relationship is crucial for the health and well-being of a herd. This relationship goes beyond mere nominal engagement and involves active and continuous collaboration between the veterinarian, the herd owner or manager, and the herd itself.

  • Our commitment to responsible animal care requires on-farm consultations with hands-on examinations of a client's cattle every 6 months. This fosters a genuine client-veterinarian relationship.
  • Consistent property visits provide a more comprehensive understanding of a herd's health, allowing for better preventative care, early problem detection, and tailored treatment strategies.
  • Sporadic visits focused solely on individual animal illnesses may not capture the broader health trends within a herd.

  • In certain circumstances and based on available facilities, we offer care for pet cattle. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

  • Due to our business  model and family circumstances, after-hours and emergency services slots are reserved for registered clients with an ongoing relationship.
  • From time to time, we receive emergency referrals from other practices in the region and when possible, we have helped the cattle in trouble. However, this can't  be assured.
  • If you are not a registered client and your cattle are in distress or needing veterinary support, we suggest checking  the next resources:
